Dr. Senai Aksoy

Assoc. Prof. Senai Aksoy, one of the founders of the American Hospital IVF Department, is an expert in infertility and assisted reproductive techniques.

Associate Professor Senai Aksoy was born in Ankara in 1962. He graduated from İzmir Atatürk High School in 1979.

After graduating from Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty in 1985, he completed his specialisation in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Franche-Comté in France. He has been working as an Obstetrics and Gynaecology specialist since 1993.

Dr Senai Aksoy, who continued his studies in France until 1994, obtained a diploma in Gynaecological Laparoscopic Surgery from the University of Clermont Ferrand and a diploma in Gynaecological and Obstetric Ultrasound from the University of Strasbourg Louis Pasteur.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Senai Aksoy, who also holds a diploma in Reproductive Health and Assisted Reproductive Techniques from Paris René Descartes University, returned to Turkey in 1994 and was part of the first team to perform microinjection (ICSI) at the In Vitro Fertilisation and Infertility Department of Ankara Sevgi Hospital.

In 1996, he came to Istanbul and joined the founding team of the IVF Unit at the American Hospital.
